Presidential hopeful and Abetifi MP, Dr. Bryan Acheampong, has urged unity, discipline, and dignity within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as the party navigates its internal leadership contest.
In a statement titled “A Call to Unity and Discipline in Our Internal Contest”, Dr. Acheampong acknowledged the personal attacks and false claims he has faced but stressed that his focus remains on “restoration, not retaliation.”
“This is a contest of ideas, of leadership, and of vision of power in focus. And it must be treated with the respect it deserves,” he said.
He appealed to his supporters to avoid the use of intemperate language, personal attacks, or the circulation of fake materials.
According to Dr. Acheampong, the NPP’s strength has always been rooted in “discipline, dignity, and unity” rather than division.
He emphasised that his campaign seeks to build more than just a political bid for power.
“We are building a movement to unite and rebuild our beloved New Patriotic Party,” he stated.
The Abetifi MP underscored his commitment to a campaign grounded in respect and vision, calling on party members to let their “words heal, not harm” and to ensure their conduct reflects the future the party seeks to lead.
“Together, we unite. Together, we rebuild,” he concluded.
