The Church of Pentecost spent a total of GH¢14,281,540.13 in the year 2023 to sponsor the educational pursuits of church members at various levels.
This is part of its goal of holistically developing its members.
This was disclosed by Apostle Eric Nyamekye, the Chairman of the Church of Pentecost, on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, during the opening session of the 18th Extraordinary Council Meeting held at the Pentecost Convention Center (PCC) in Gomoa Fetteh, near Kasoa in the Central Region.
The Chairman explained that the amount disbursed was raised from the various Districts, Areas, and Ministries in Ghana, as well as the Church’s General Headquarters.
The amount also includes GH¢472,538.38 spent under the headquarters' sponsored ‘Pentecost Education Scholarship Scheme' (PESS) for tertiary students outside Pentecost University.

Apostle Nyamekye indicated that as of the end of December 2023, ‘103 basic schools, two Senior High Schools, and two vocational training institutes with a total student population of 35,468 and a staff strength of 2,184 operated across the country under the auspices of PENTSOS.’

He added that the Church also spent GHS 495,000 to improve the infrastructure of some selected schools, while 2,500 pupils benefitted from functional libraries set up in six Pentecost Preparatory Schools (PPS): PPS Akim Kwabeng, PPS Akim Oda, PPS Agormanya, PPS Dunkwa On-Offin, PPS Assin Foso, and PPS Akosombo.
