The Convention People’s Party (CPP) is holding a congress in the Ashanti Region to select a flagbearer for the 2024 elections this December.
Four hundred and twenty-three delegates have gathered at the GNAT Hall in the Ashanti Regional capital, Kumasi for the event.
A similar election is taking place across all 16 regions to choose a flagbearer.
The two aspirants for the position are former Chairman Nana Frimpomaa Sarpong Kumankumah and legal practitioner, Frimpong Yaw Anokye.
With only three months to the general elections, many party members are hopeful that selecting the right candidate will make a significant impact.
