Ghanaian midfielder Daniel Kofi Kyereh is close to returning to action after resuming training with Freiburg.
The 28-year-old has been out with an anterior cruciate ligament injury since February 2023 and has spent the last few months working on his recovery.
Kyereh missed the whole of the 2023/24 season due to the injury despite optimism of a late return in the campaign.
However, the midfielder now seems set for a return after returning to pre-season training with the Bundesliga side.
Kyereh has been training with the rest of his teammates ahead of the 2024/25 season which could be a defining season for him.
He joined Freiburg in July 2022 and featured in 12 appearances during his maiden season with the club which also saw him record two goals.
At the national team, Kyereh has not played since featuring at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
