Fidelity Bank Ghana has stepped up its sustainability agenda with a bold initiative to promote clean transportation in the country.
As part of the project, the bank is offering free electric vehicle (EV) rides from Oyarifa to the Central Business District of Accra for Ghanaians, staff, and clients.
Speaking to Joy Business, Donatus Kuuzume, Esq, Sustainable Finance Products Manager in charge of Partnerships, Sustainability and CSR at Fidelity Bank, said the initiative is designed to demonstrate the bank’s commitment to reducing carbon emissions while raising public awareness about the benefits of green transport.
“This project is part of Fidelity Bank’s broader commitment to sustainability and our determination to play a leading role in advancing Ghana’s climate and development agenda,” Mr. Kuuzume explained.
Some passengers who joined the free rides also shared positive experiences, praising the comfort of the EVs and welcoming the bank’s effort to push clean energy solutions.
Fidelity Bank says it will continue to champion initiatives that not only reduce environmental impact but also encourage Ghanaians to embrace sustainable lifestyles.
