Police in the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem (KEEA) Municipality in the Central Region have arrested four men and impounded a Kia Rhino truck loaded with 2,250 parcels of suspected Indian hemp.
The vehicle, with registration number WT 591-20, was intercepted at the Mpeasem Axle Load Station during a police operation led by Chief Inspector Abraham Bansah.

According to police sources, the suspects, including the 34-year-old driver of the truck, were transporting the parcels believed to be Indian hemp from the Central Region towards Nzema in the Western Region.
The suspects are currently in police custody at the Elmina Police Station, assisting with investigations to identify and apprehend the owner of the seized contraband.
Police say the operation forms part of intensified efforts to combat drug trafficking and other criminal activities in the area.
