Ghana Premier League champions Medeama Sporting Club succumbed to a 1-0 defeat against Asante Kotoko on Sunday on matchday 11 of the top flight.
Sherif Mohammed scored from the penalty spot at the Baba Yara Stadium as the Porcupine Warriors picked their first win in the last six league games.
Barimah Baah’s 10th-minute strike was enough for Nations Football Club who defeated Bibiani GoldStars at Dun’s Park.
GoldStars are now without a win in their last six games in the league with Michael Osei gradually coming under pressure as Sunday’s defeat sends them into the relegation zone.
Patric Ansu snatched a late winner for Berekum Chelsea in their fixture against Legon Cities while Dreams FC suffered a 1-3 thrashing away from home against Real Tamale United.
