English-born Ghanaian forward Daniel Adu-Adjei has signed a four-year contract with Croatian champions HNK Rijeka.
He joined from English Premier League side Bournemouth for an undisclosed fee.
The 20-year-old, who is a product of the Cherries’ academy, spent four years at the club, including scoring 25 goals in his maiden season with the under-18s.
Adu-Adjei made his Bournemouth debut against QPR in the FA Cup in January 2024 and is now set for an opportunity to play regular senior football in a competitive European league.
AFC Bournemouth say they “would like to thank Daniel for his dedication and commitment throughout his time with the club” and “wish him every success in the next chapter of his career.”
In a statement released, Rijeka said the youngster’s arrival will “strengthen our attack in the rest of the season.”

“I felt that the club really wanted me and that is the main reason why I am here,” Adu-Adjei told Rijeka media.
“I can't wait to meet the teammates and fans and play for the first team. I decided to join Rijeka because of the club's ambition and everything the club has achieved.
“My wish this season is of course to be as well placed as possible in the championship and the Cup, and to achieve the best possible results in the group stage of European competitions.”
Rijeka will also look to cement their place in this season’s Europa League on Thursday, taking a 1-0 aggregate lead into their play-off second leg against PAOK.
On the domestic front, the defending champions have had a slow start to the campaign, losing two of their first four matches.
Adu-Adjei is also eligible to represent Ghana through his Ghanaian heritage.
