Ghana’s team participating in the 2023 UCMAS International Competition has arrived in Malaysia.
This was after a 16-hour flight from Kotoka International Airport to Kuala Lumpur Airport with two transits at Addis Ababa and Singapore.
The team of 31 talented children is yearning to keep Ghana’s flag high as they take on the world.
The contingent was warmly welcomed by representatives from Ghana's High Commission in Malaysia.

The budding mathematicians have promised to inspire their nation with their passion for numbers.
The team, ages 4 to 16, has their eyes on the ultimate prize as they prepare for the highly anticipated showdown.
With determination in their hearts and mathematical prowess in their minds, these young minds are ready to showcase their skills on the world stage.
The children are expected to contest on December 2 and 3.

The team will compete at various levels, including basic and elementary.
Aside from the competition, the team will also be exploring the breathtaking tourist sites in Malaysia, including the Sunway Lagoon Water Theme Park, Genting Highland Theme Park, and GL Play Theme Park, just to mention a few.
They will also call on Ghana’s ambassador to Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur.

Joy Prime has an eagle eye on the competition and will bring you exclusive coverage of the team’s exploits in Malaysia.
The UCMAS programme was started in Ghana about 16 years ago by Maurya Education Limited.
During this period, many Ghanaian children have won many laurels for the country on the international stage.
In 2012, Kwabena Asamoah Amoah emerged as the overall UCMAS champion during the international contest.

He went on to receive a full scholarship from a university in the USA.
The initiative has grown to cover the country, with many schools adding the programme to their curriculum.
Stay tuned to Joy Prime as it brings you exclusive coverage of their journey and achievements in this prestigious competition.
