GTA’s Kofi Atta Kakra Kusi weds Sharon Danquah in grand ceremony

Kofi Atta Kakra Kusi, Deputy Director of Corporate Affairs at the Ghana Tourism Authority, has married Sharon Danquah, a Senior Administrative Manager at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, in a colourful and heart-warming wedding ceremony in Accra.

The couple sealed their union with a traditional engagement on Saturday, 22 November 2025, followed by a church wedding on Saturday, 29 November 2025, at the Nazareth Methodist Church, Mamprobi.

The ceremonies brought together family, friends and loved ones to witness what many described as a beautiful celebration of love, faith and commitment.

The joyous occasion was graced by high-profile guests, including Her Excellency Ambassador Erieka Bennett, Founder and Head of Mission of the Diaspora Africa Forum; Hon Barbara Asher Ayisi, former Deputy Minister of Education and Works and Housing; and Brandina Djagba, Wear Ghana and Culture Ambassador with the National Commission on Culture.

Other prominent personalities in attendance were Akumaa Mama Zimbi, Daddy Bosco, South Africa’s High Commissioner to Ghana, Kobby Kyei, Edem Mensah-Tsotorme and Chef Faila, as well as Nana Afia Sarpong, a tourism consultant, adding colour and prestige to the celebration.

Also present were Alisa Osei Asamoah, Immediate Past President of the Tour Operators Union of Ghana, and the President of the Chefs Association of Ghana, Mr Michael Quainoo, who was accompanied by members of the association.

The event was further attended by the Chief Executive Officer of Afrik Gardens and Fizzles Night Club, Mr T, and the Marketing Manager of Alisa Hotel, Mrs Esperanza Adjei. Staff of the Ghana Tourism Authority and the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital turned out in large numbers to support their colleagues, while members of the wider tourism and hospitality fraternity also joined the celebration.

The wedding marked a memorable milestone for the couple, attracting warm congratulations and goodwill messages as guests wished them a lifetime of happiness, companionship and shared purpose.
