Famous TikToker, Aba Martin, better known as Aba Dope, has said that her purpose in going for a curvy shape, commonly known as Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) is not to entice men.
There has been a notion that the majority of women go through the process just to please men.
But speaking on Joy Prime’s morning show on Thursday, the TikToker stated that she fixed her body because it was in her personal interest and also to boost confidence in her body.
"Some do it because they think they’re missing something when it comes to men, but for me, I had BBL and I’m still selling food... I’m not in for my body being exchanged for money. Everybody who knows me knows that I didn’t do my body to entice men. I did it because I want to look good in clothes," she told the host, Roselyn Felli.
Although men sometimes get attracted to her body, she said she deals with them on business basis and makes them her customers instead.
According to her, because she did it to satisfy a personal desire, she did not use anybody’s shape to do it, even though it is part of the procedure.
She further revealed that a lot of girls who watch her videos have reached out to her to introduce them to the surgeon who helped her get her curvaceous body.
Despite the fact that she seems to be promoting the hospital where she had the surgery on her Tik Tok page, she advises interested ladies to do it for themselves.
She also addressed the belief that women who have done BBL cannot be pregnant. According to her, it is possible based on the type of BBL.
However, with liposuction, an everlasting flat tummy is not guaranteed, she said. But consistent exercise and dieting can help maintain the shape.
Having a curvy body might be good for most people, but getting involved in BBL is a risky decision. One might come out alive, die in the process, or be alive with a crooked posture.
BBL, as it is popularly called, is a cosmetic procedure that has become the new norm for many ladies, especially within the entertainment industry. It can help address certain issues, such as the sagging and shapelessness that sometimes occur with age.
Meanwhile, recent reports, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, show a fatality rate of 1 in 3000 as a result of Brazilian butt lift. When the procedure is performed incorrectly, injected fat can enter the large veins in the buttocks and then travel to the lungs. This causes respiratory distress and, ultimately, death.
