The Ministry for the Interior has announced that Thursday, May 1, 2025, will be observed as a statutory public holiday in celebration of May Day, also known as Workers’ Day.
This was contained in a notice signed by the Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed Mubarak, on Friday, April 25.
The general public is urged to observe the day nationwide in accordance with the country’s holiday regulations.
May Day is recognised globally as a day to honour the hard work, dedication, and contributions of workers across various sectors.
