The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has denied the allegations claiming its association with land guards in safeguarding and reclaiming encroached lands owned by the Force.
Responding to recent assertions made by the Minority members of the Lands and Forestry Committee of Parliament, the GAF expressed deep disappointment and described the accusations as both unimaginable and regrettable.
GAF reiterated that its primary mission is to protect the nation's borders, particularly against the threat of violent extremism emanating from the Sahel Region.
In a statement, the security service asserted its complete dedication to national security and affirmed its commitment to the defense of the nation.
The July 17 communique was signed by GAF's Director-General of Public Relations, Brig. Gen. Aggrey-Quashie.

The Force urged the public to dismiss any reports or claims suggesting its involvement with land guards, as such reports are baseless and unfounded.
The allegations reportedly arose from statements attributed to the Chief Director of the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, Professor Patrick Agbesinyale, during a meeting with the Lands and Forestry Committee.
Nevertheless, the GAF categorically denies any connection to the utilization of land guards for land reclamation or protection.
