The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) have received high praise for their role in Jamaica’s post-Hurricane Melissa recovery under “Operation Boafo.”
Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa commended the troops after he visited the country, stating, "God bless the Ghana Armed Forces for the outstanding rebuilding efforts in Jamaica with their ‘Operation Boafo.’"
He added that Jamaicans expressed deep gratitude to Ghana and President Mahama, "All Jamaicans we have met are so grateful to Ghana and President Mahama. Keep making Ghana proud," he noted.
The minister highlighted the enduring bonds of heritage and international cooperation, "Long live our ancestral solidarity and south-south cooperation."
