Veteran actress Joke Silva has refuted claims that her husband, Olu Jacobs, has passed away.
This comes after news of Mr Jacobs’ alleged demise began trending on Twitter on Tuesday evening. The news which disturbed fans had them asking for clarification from the actor's family and colleagues.
It is, however, unclear how the news broke.

In an interview with The Punch Newspaper, Joke Silva noted that he is hale and hearty. The actress revealed that her rumour peddlers were just deceiving themselves.
She stated that the veteran actor was enjoying a nice meal at the time. The film star urged worried fans not to believe the bad news making rounds on social media.
She said, “Don’t mind them; they’re just talking rubbish; don’t disturb your head. He is in the living room right now about to have Eba and Ogbono soup. Let them keep deceiving themselves. He is hale and hearty.”
Some fans reacting to Joke Silva's comment wished the actor a "long healthy life."
"Second time some people dey wish this man dead. This is unfair; may God heal you, sir," another fan wrote on Twitter.
Olu Jacobs is still alive, thank God, death rumors flying around not true.

It’s so rude and inconsiderate how someone always starts a rumor about Olu Jacobs being dead every now and then.
