Ahead of naming their 29-man squad for the African Cup, Ghana has been in the throes of a captaincy row this week involving Asamoah Gyan and coach Kwesi Appiah.
That subject is the crux of this 58-minute podcast from the Joy Sports team. Hosted by Gary Al-Smith, this episode also features opinionated input from Hans Mensah Andoh, Benedict Owusu and Owuraku Ampofo.
As it is an African podcast, we cannot do without updates from the continent, and we here from Nigeria great Peter Rufai, on their chances at the tournament. Senegal great Khalilou Fadiga also weighs in on the Teranga Lions’, and AFCON expansion.
And the usual weekly team profile (Senegal, this time). It also features a wrap from Dan Wahome of the Kenyan Broadcasting Corporation.
Aired on Friday, May 24, 2019 on Joy FM. Next edition: Friday, May 31, at 7pm.
