Justice Dennis Adjei of the Court of Appeal is set to speak at the Book Talk session of the University of Ghana Law Week celebration.
The symposium which comes off on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, is under the theme: Land Law Reforms in Ghana. In particular, the focus will be the new Lands Act, 2020 (Act 1036).
Justice Adjei in a session will be hosted by Kabu Nartey of the Library & Editorial Committee under whose auspices the programme is being held—in collaboration with the Law Librarian.
The session will cover the inspirations of Sir Justice Adjei in writing the book and his other publications as well as a presentation on the content of the book.
The Law Librarian, Mr Joe Antah ESQ who is the brain behind the symposium/book talk tells the media the purpose of the programme is to inculcate a reading and writing habit among students adding that the symposium/book talk has come to stay in the faculty.
Discounted autographed copies of the Court of Appeal Judge’s book, ‘Land Law, Practice and Conveyancing in Ghana,’ which is based on the new Lands Act will also be on sale at the programme.
Also in attendance will be the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Samuel Abu Jinapor and the Deputy Attorney General , Hon. Alfred Tuah-Yeboah
The UG Law Students Week continues all week until July 23, 2022.
