Strategic Mobilisation Ghana Limited (SML) has asserted that the audit report by KPMG has absolved them of the allegations made against them by The Fourth Estate in its documentary.
According to the company, the KPMG report, as noted by President Akufo-Addo, has vindicated them of any wrongdoing.
Serwaa Sarpong, who oversees Support Management at SML, reiterated this during an interview on JoyNews' Newfile programme on Saturday, April 27.
She insisted that SML operates within the confines of the law and has not engaged in any unlawful activities.

Madam Sarpong clarified that their services are unique and not readily available in the market, which is why the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) contracted them.
She emphasised that SML is committed to providing legitimate services to its clients and upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
Madam Sarpong added that the company is fully compliant with all relevant regulations and will continue to operate transparently and responsibly.
"We say that KPMG’s report and as President has minuted on it exonerates SML and confirms the need for the company’s proven services because first of all an allegation has been leveled against SML and we that we have taken a 10-year contract which has been disproved and secondly an allegation made against us that we have been given $100 million contract and which has been proven not to be true," she stated.
KPMG, a reputable auditing firm, has completed and presented its report on the contract between GRA and SML to President Akufo-Addo.
Initiated by the President on January 2, 2024, following an expose by the Fourth Estate, the KPMG audit was originally scheduled to be concluded by Tuesday, January 16, 2024, but due to circumstances, the deadline was extended to Friday, February 23, 2024.
According to the audit findings, SML has received a total of GH¢1,061,054,778 since 2018 while fulfilling its obligations partially.
SML has challenged that finding, claiming however that the report in general justifies the contract.
