The Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide has won a defamatory suit against Assin Central legislator, Kennedy Agyapong.
Abdul Malik Kweku Baako Jnr was aggrieved that the vociferous MP and businessman had defamed him and further dared him to go to court if he was unhappy.

The veteran journalist sought justice from the High Court which has ruled in his favour on Friday.
Mr Agyapong is to pay the damage of ¢100,000 with the cost of ¢30,000.
The court has also given the MP 30 days to retract and apologise three times on the platforms he used to defame Kweku Baako.
Mr. Baako in October 2018, filed a GH¢25 million defamation suit against the outspoken legislator for some alleged defamatory comments against him on various radio stations in the month of July.

According to the veteran journalist, the MP had used several demeaning words to describe him, including 'corrupt', 'hypocrite' and 'dishonest’.
Apart from the damages, Mr. Baako had appealed to the high court to compel the MP to apologise and retract his defamatory comments as well as perpetually restrain 'Mr. Agyapong, his agents, assigns and servants from further publishing any defamatory words against him'.
There had been earlier reports that the MP and business mogul was seeking an out of court settlement on the matter.
Confirming this, Mr. Baaku had said he found some elements in Mr. Agyapong’s counter settlemet completely unacceptable hence the decision to keep the matter in court.

In its subsequent ruling on Friday, June 26, the High Court gave Mr. Kennedy Agyapong 30 days to retract and apologise three times on the platforms he used to defame Kweku Baako.
These platforms include his own media stations Net2 TV and Oman FM, and Multimedia stations, Adom FM and Asempa FM.
