The Chief Executive of Willmens Company Limited, Williams Asare Mensah has called on citizens to devote themselves to the country by contributing to development in their various communities.
Speaking to the media at the commissioning of a 1.5 kilometer he financed, Mr Mensah said such “small gestures”, are what leads to the national development.
“I want to take this opportunity to call on all Ghanaians who are financially sound to help their various communities in their own small way and not leaving everything on government,” he said.
The 1.5 kilometers of road links Tema Community 25 to Afianya, a suberb community called "Bulaso".
Although government had declared 2022 a year of roads, the Bulaso road has over the years been in a deplorable nature.
Thus, Mr Asare Mensah said it was part of efforts to give back to the community.
“It was always my wish to see smiles on the faces of the residents in the community because the bad road has really negatively affected businesses for decades.
“So I am very glad to see this dream come to pass. I am indeed grateful to the Almighty God for the wisdom and Strength for such a great project,” he said.
