Fiesta Royale Hotel, in collaboration with Fiesta Residences, has presented a cash cheque of GH¢10,000 to support the Pediatric Unit of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.
The donation according to Fiesta Hotels and Fiesta Residences is an annual support package to the health sector of the country, as captured in the Group’s corporate social responsibility towards ensuring quality healthcare in the country.
The General Manager of the Fiesta Royale Hotel, Mrs. Maritza de Villiers accompanied by Mrs Yvonne Eyeson, Sales & Marketing Manager and Mrs. Rachel Bruce, Head of Revenue and Marketing of Fiesta Residences were at the premises of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital last week Friday, to present the cheque to the hospital’s administration, which was represented by Dr. Ali Samba, Director of Medical Affairs.
Commitment to give more support
Mrs Maritza de Villiers underscored the importance of the annual support to the health sector of the country as an easy decision by Directors of the Group considering how important the health of our citizens is to the economic growth of any country.
“As a hotel group, this will be our 16th Year, of giving donations to this very worthy cause,” she said.
She thanked the public for their faith and loyal support of Fiesta Royale Hotel & Residences as a hospitality facility, committed to adding its quota and support towards national development.
Adding her voice during the presentation, Mrs Yvonne Eyeson, Sales & Marketing Manager of Fiesta Royale Hotel observed that Management and Directors of the hotel for this year settled on the Pediatric Unit of the Korle-bu Teaching Hospital “considering how big your challenges are. We identify with you and the numerous challenges and as part of our corporate social responsibility we are here to support your work.” She said and urged the hospital to put the donation into good use.

Receiving the cheque on behalf of the hospital, Dr. Ali Samba, Director of Medical Affairs at the Korle-Bu teaching hospital thanked the Fiesta Royale Hotel & Residences for the support admitting that such assistance doesn’t come easy as many sectors of the country needs similar support, “so for you to choose us we are grateful. We promise to use the donation for its intended purpose”.
The Fiesta team was later taken on a tour to the newly opened Rebecca Akufo-Addo Pediatric Intensive Care Unit to visit patients at the facility.
