Former President John Dramani Mahama has assured the people of Jomoro that the next National Democratic Congress (NDC) government would establish a petrochemical industry in the area.
According to him, this will enhance economic activities and expand the oil and gas sector.
Additionally, he pledged to build an ultra-modern market in Jaway-Wharf, introduce an asphaltic road overlay to modernise the region and facilitate trade.
He made this known during his two-day visit to the Western Region as part of his "Building Ghana Tour."
Meanwhile, he is scheduled to address town hall meetings in Ambainu and Evaloe-Adjomoro Gwira Constituency, and also interact with students at the Esiama Nursing Training School on Monday, December 18.
