The Red Devils have become a laughing stock after they were knocked out of the Champions League.
On Tuesday, Atletico Madrid outclassed Manchester United when they came face-to-face at Old Trafford.
The United team lost by a goal to nil thereby kicking them out of Europe's elite competition. This means they will go trophyless for the season.
Users of social media space, Twitter, are not commiserating with the losing team, however, are pulling their legs. For many, they are unable to recall when Man Utd last won a trophy.
This is United's failed fifth campaign in a row after emerging Champions League winners in 2017.
Another year without trophy. I present to you Manchester United, the motivational quote club.

The Red Devils led by favourite Cristiano Ronaldo are left with only a Premier League top-four place to fight for this season.
Or maybe Jose Mourinho cursed Manchester United after they lied and sacked him. Just maybe 😂😂

Some fans say they will forever remain devoted to the club despite the shame. They believe Man Utd will come back stronger.
