Ghana's largest digital payment company, Mobile Money Limited, an affiliate of MTN Ghana, on 15 September launched its maiden promotion, 'Me Nsa Aka', at a ceremony in Osu, Accra.
This initiative rewards valued customers for their loyalty and encourages the adoption of digital payments via the MobileMoney app.

The 'Me Nsa Aka' promotion allows customers to win cash prizes by completing simple transactions on the MoMo App.

Customers earn entries into draws by making transactions on the MoMo App, with minimum transaction thresholds applying for daily, weekly, and monthly draws.

In the daily draws, the minimum is a GHC 101 transaction threshold, with up to GHC 2,000 e-cash prizes for 36 customers.
The weekly draws are pegged at GHC 300 minimum transaction threshold, with up to GHC 2,000 e-cash prizes for 36 customers.
Monthly draws are from GHC 1,000 minimum transaction threshold, with up to GHC 5,000 e-cash prizes for 12 customers.
The top prize is GHC 100,000, with additional prizes of GHC 50,000, GHC 30,000, and GHC 10,000 for other high-value winners.

The 'Me Nsa Aka' promotion will run from September 15 to December 15, 2025.
According to Charles Asamoah Assah, Chief Technology & Service Delivery Officer at MobileMoney Ltd, the promotion aims to encourage customers to transition from traditional USSD services to MTN's digital channels.
It also aims to foster trust and loyalty among customers by providing a secure and convenient digital financial platform and to support financial inclusion initiatives, particularly for women and underserved communities.

There is an instant cash reward of over 11,000 which includes GHC 100 and GHC 200 e-cash bonuses and will be won throughout the promo period.
In addition to the grand prize, numerous consolation prizes will be awarded to customers who participate in the promotion.

Speaking at the launch, Mr Assah said that, unlike the customer transactions on the MoMo platform through the USSD channel, which offers a limited opportunity to undertake basic transactions, the current digital revolution allows customers to do more on a single platform.
He added that the introduction of the MoMo app is to provide customers with the convenience of doing more and having more control over their financial transactions.

He said the app represents a significant milestone in the company’s journey to harness the power of digital innovation to drive and strengthen Ghana's financial ecosystem and accelerate financial inclusion.
Mr Assah explained that the MoMo App has features that simplify financial management and enhance customer experience with effective security.

For instance, customers have access to biometric login in access to various financial services.
He urged all MoMo customers to switch to the app and use it for all their transactions, especially since the promotion is strictly for transactions on the app.
Mobile Money Limited, which is a subsidiary of MTNGhana,, was launched in Ghana in 2009.

This revolutionary financial service has transformed the way Ghanaians interact with money, providing a convenient and secure way to send, receive, and save money through mobile devices.
Mobile Money Limited’s operations have evolved to include various financial services such as bill payments, savings, investments, and insurance, significantly contributing to financial inclusion in Ghana.
The ceremony was attended by the company’s partners from the FINTEC industry, including Ghana Commercial Bank, Stanbic Bank, Zenith Bank, Omni BSIC Bank, First Atlantic Bank, and 2X Digital Bank.
