The General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has assured victims of Sunday's accident in the Ellembelle constituency of the party's support.
Johnson Asiedu Nkestia made this commitment when he visited families of the accident victims at Kamgbunli in the Western Region as part of his two-day tour in the region.
On Sunday, one person reported to be an NDC supporter died after a commercial vehicle ran into a peace walk at Ellembelle.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred around 5 pm when the driver of the car popularly known as Nzema jet lost control of his vehicle and ran into the supporters who were embarking on a peace walk as the general election approaches.

Meanwhile, three victims in a critical condition out of the dozens that were hurt have been referred to Korle Bu Teaching Hospital for further treatment.

Touching on the deceased who has been identified as Mariama Akango Issah family, he gave an assurance that her children will be taking care of by the party till the tertiary level.
