Aburi Presby SHTS has eliminated contending schools; Osino Presby SHTS and Northern School of Business in the one-fourth stage of the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) held at the University of Ghana.
The two Presby schools, Aburi and Osino faced off fiercely to qualify for the next stage in all five rounds of the competition.

On Sunday, Samuel Bonney and Frank Kissi of Aburi Presby SHTS secured the first-ever slot for their school in the semi-final stage of the competition.

The valiant warriors of Aburi Presby SHS led the pack with 21 points in the round1.
A one-point margin separated the two Presby schools as Osino Presby SHTS scored 20 points.
Northern School of Business came last place in the first round with 12 points.

Increasing the gap among the other two contending schools, Aburi Presby SHTS swiftly answered rightly two questions and secured 25 points in the speed race in round 2.
Osino Presby SHTS came second place with 22 points and staggering in its bearing, Northern School of Business earned 10 points.

Round 3's Problem of the day indeed proved to be a challenging one for all three schools. All efforts by all three schools to huff and puff the barrier away proved futile.
Aburi Presby SHTS earned two points while Osino Presby SHTS and Northern School of Business scored no points to their tally in this round.

Aburi and Osino Presby SHTS increased their pace in the True or False round with 34 points and 32 points respectively.
Round 4 unfortunately, was unkind to Northern School of Business and scored 11 points.

To finally end the contest and make way to the next round, Aburi Presby SHTS earned 37 points in round 5.
Aburi Presby SHTS exited Osino Presby SHTS and Northern School of Business from the race with 35 points and 14 points respectively.
