Coach Nurudeen Amadu has left his role as the head coach of FC Samartex.
It is understood Amadu departed on “mutual consent” just 13 matches into the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.
The defending champions are on poor run of form including losing three consecutive matches in the top-flight and also out of the MTN FA Cup after a 2-0 defeat to rivals Bibiani GoldStars SC .
The Timber giants sit 10th on the standings with 17 points.
FC Samartex make a trip to face Bechem United in their next encounter.
Assistant coach Henry Wellington will take charge temporarily until a substantive appointment is made.
Amadu joined the club in July 2023 and led them to the maiden Premier League title last season.
The feat propelled them into the CAF Champions League preliminary stage but got eliminated by Raja Casablanca in the second round.
