The Accra Metropolitan Assembly’s Metro Health Inspectors on Wednesday closed down a bread baking factory at JamesTwon in Accra when the CleanGhana team went to the neighborhood.
The closure of the facility was based on several complaints the health inspectors had received from residents, including authorities of a Junior High School which shares a wall with the bakery.
The factory, which uses fire wood to heat the oven, produces smoke that disturbs academic activities in the school and the rest of the community.
The team also gave a caution note to a public toilet operator in the community for failing to keep the facility clean.
