President Akufo-Addo has addressed the nation on the 30th Anniversary of the referendum that approved the 1992 Constitution.
The 1992 Constitution has been in operation since 7th January, 1993.
In recent times, a section of the public, including Civil Society Organisations, has called for a review of the Constitution due to numerous shortfalls identified.
One of the major concerns of Civil Society organisations in that, the ultimate law of the land accords too much power to the President.
But a legal practitioner, Akoto Ampaw, has advised Ghanaians to be cautious in calling for a review of the Constitution.
He said there is no guarantee that reviewing the Constitution would offer the country an immediate solution to its myriad of problems and spur it to instant development.
Mr Ampaw said the Constitution, despite its ailing, could deliver solutions to the country’s problems and bring development to the citizenry.
