The flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama is currently in the Upper West Region on a four-day tour.
The tour which began on Wednesday, September 2, saw the former President interacting with traditional rulers, opinion leaders, organised labour, supporters, members, and activists of the NDC.
Among other promises made by the former President ahead of the December 7 polls, the NDC flagbearer said his government will upgrade the Wa Municipality to a Metropolis. He also pledged to separate the Disability Fund from the District Assembly Common Fund.
Meanwhile, Mr. Mahama is expected to return to Accra on Sunday, ahead of the launch of his party’s manifesto for the 2020 elections.
