Austria manager, Ralf Rangnick, has unveiled a strong squad ahead of their international friendly against Ghana later this month.
The match will be played on 27 March at the Ernst-Happel-Stadion in Vienna, as both sides step up preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Headlining the Austrian squad is David Alaba, the versatile Real Madrid CF defender who remains one of the country’s most influential players and a central figure in Rangnick’s plans.
The squad features a blend of experienced internationals and emerging talents, including key names such as Marcel Sabitzer, Marko Arnautović, Konrad Laimer, Christoph Baumgartner and Stefan Posch.
The selection underlines Rangnick’s intention to field a competitive side against the Black Stars in what is expected to be an entertaining contest.
