The police in Dodowa have arrested a prophet known as Sampson Obotang Bekoe for allegedly assaulting a woman in the Central Region.
Mr Bekoe is the pastor of the Family African Faith Church Tarbanacle located in Gomoa Sokwa.
Accra-based Okay FM reported that the wife of Prophet Obotang had accused him of stealing money.
She had apparently consulted a spiritualist to help her recover the missing GH¢200, who then revealed to her that her husband was the thief.
The pastor became enraged when his wife confronted him about it, and he went to the residence of the spiritualist to confront them.
There, he encountered a sister of the spiritualist, who is also a member of his church, and an argument ensued.
The woman accused Oboteng of stealing an electric organ during the church's recent convention, which further inflamed the situation and led to the prophet allegedly assaulting her.
This incident was then reported to the police, who picked up the suspect and provided a medical form to the victim.
