It has been exactly twelve years following the premiere of the first edition of the love adventure reality show dubbed ‘I’m in Love with Boma Ye’.
The maiden edition certainly captured high attention, thereby drawing a lot of viewers to their televisions in 2012 as the twelve carefully selected maidens competed to win the heart of a king over thirteen weeks.
With the support of viewers and friends, Big Brother Africa Amplified star Alex Paapa Biney, who was the king and centre of the show, also called 'Boma Ye', successfully chose the right girl who preferred him over the $20,000 worth of prizes at stake.
The second season is returning with more mind-blowing and captivating episodes in all the upcoming activities.
As part of the season, the in-house contestants will undertake several activities and undergo various tasks to help bring out their diverse character and nature.
The tasks and challenges are designed to assess the skills and qualities of the competitors in the areas that matter most to BOMA YE in a potential mate. The maidens will be expected to have a varying range of interesting personalities, physical appearances, and life experiences, but will be united in their 'love' for BOMA YE.
As part of the rewards, winners of the challenges will gain the opportunity to spend some special time with BOMA YE on Date Nights at selected locations across Accra.
All events around the show, counting down to the premiere of the season, will air on Joy Prime throughout the next thirteen weeks. The eviction shows will also be live on the channel.
Also, BOMA YE will evict some contestants who will be put up for eviction when the show begins in the house and every other week.
As the second edition kicks off on Sunday, May 12, viewers are entreated not to miss the fun as action and drama unfold. It will be a 24-hour transmission on the Joy Prime channel and will be streamed throughout all of its social media handles, including Facebook and YouTube.
The long wait is finally over. BOMA YE is out in search of love. Join in anticipation as the search begins.
