The African community celebrated an impressive cultural performance by Super International Band, at the West Africa Festival held in Togo, attracting a large audience and receiving widespread acclaim.
The event, organised annually by a group of West African entertainment promoters, aims to foster people-to-people relationships among West African countries.
This year, Super International Band, a Ghanaian folk music and Dancing Group did not only showcase their rich cultural heritage but also emerged victorious, winning the Best African group Award.
The festival features an expo divided into three parts: an official ceremony with congratulatory remarks, a showcase of African fashion and entrepreneurship, and a platform for West African businesses engaged with the continent.
Samuel Abbeyquaye, the group’s leader, has made a significant impact with his group in fostering a sense of African culture and heritage through the performance of Ghanaian folk music and cultural dance. The group is tipped to climb higher on the tree of cultural performance.
