Swansea City fans on social media have called for the return of Andre Ayew to the club following his departure from Al Sadd.
The Black Stars captain and the Qatari side agreed to terminate his contract on mutual consent, with the official announcement made on Sunday, January 29.
Ayew featured 29 times for Al Sadd since joining them in 2021, scoring 18 goals and providing two assists. During his stay in Qatar, the Ghana international also won two trophies with the club, the Qatar Stars League at the end of the 2021/22 season and the Emir of Qatar Cup in 2021.
However, with both Ayew and Al Sadd deciding to go separate ways midway through the current season, Swansea fans are roaring on social media for the return of the 33-year-old.
Ayew had a successful stint in his previous two spells with the Championship side before leaving as a free agent at the end of the 2020/21 season.
The Ghanaian was involved in 66 goals in 141 appearances for the Jacks, scoring 47 times and providing 19 assists during his time at the Swansea.com Stadium.
It is unknown where Ayew's future lies but the forward is also linked with a return to boyhood club, Olympique Marseille.
