Former Chelsea midfielder and current Coventry City Manager Frank Lampard has described Black Stars forward Brandon Thomas-Asante as “talented” and attributed his sizzling form to hard work.
The 26-year-old has netted five times in his last three appearances for the Championship side.
His latest was a brace as Coventry City beat Portsmouth to extend their lead at the top to four points.
"All credit to him because he works so hard,” Lampard said in the post-match interview.
"You move him around and nothing changes - he's effective in the 10, on the sides, up front, his pressing is great.
"You can see his talent. He needs to keep going with that.”
Thomas-Asante has scored eight goals and provided three assists this term.
He is the first Ghanaian player since Patrick Agyemang in 2017 to reach seven or more goals in the first 11 games of a Championship season.
