European football governing body, UEFA, has awarded Mohammed Kudus his second goal in their 3-1 win over Backa Topola in their Europa League game on Thursday.
The Ghanaian’s equaliser for West Ham United at the London Stadium was initially awarded as a Nemanja Petrovic own goal.
It has now been confirmed that Kudus had enough contact with the ball to be awarded the goal.
The visiting Serbian side stunned the hosts by taking the lead two minutes into the second half when Peter Stanic capitalised on a West Ham defensive mishap.
Six minutes after the hour mark, Mohammed Kudus had the slightest contact with the ball to level the game for West Ham.
The former Ajax man headed home a James Ward-Prowse corner to give David Moyes’ side the lead in the 70th minute.
Substitute Tomas Soucek wrapped up the scoring in the 82nd minute from another James Ward-Prowse assist.
Mohammed Kudus has, prior to this game, made two substitute appearances for West Ham since his August transfer from Ajax.
