Vodafone customers enjoyed free and unrestricted calls to Vodafone numbers all day on Mother’s Day as part of the telco’s activities marking this year’s celebration.
Whilst social distancing during this period may have altered the usual Mother’s Day celebration, Vodafone Ghana’s surprise made it possible for its millions of customers to connect and celebrate the special women in their lives throughout the day.
Additionally, Vodafone offered its broadband customers free unlimited browsing on that day as well as 200 per cent bonus on any airtime purchased via Vodafone’s mobile money platform, Vodafone Cash.
Commenting on the initiatives, Pushpinder Gujral, Director of Consumer Business Unit (CBU) at Vodafone said, “Mother’s Day is always a great time to get together, have meals and show appreciation to mothers for always being there for us.
"We know how important it is for Ghanaians and our customers to get in touch with their mothers on this day. It is the reason we gave our customers FREE unlimited calls to Vodafone numbers and we are happy that our technology made it possible for them to enjoy limitless connectivity on that day.’’
Mr Gujral, whilst wishing Ghanaians Happy Mother’s Day, stated that mothers play a critical role in our lives and nothing should stop anyone from celebrating them.
He expressed the company's appreciation to all female customers for their loyalty.
