South Africa Head Coach Desiree Ellis is backing her side to end the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations “on a high note” as they face Ghana in the third-place playoff.
The defending champions take on the Queens on Friday, July 25, at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca.
Banyana Banyana suffered a 2-1 defeat to Nigeria in the semi-finals of the tournament.
"We want to end on a high note,” Ellis said at the pre-match conference.
"We played against Ghana, and it's always difficult to play the same team twice in the tournament. But we will give it our best shot.”
It is a familiar meeting, as both sides met in the group stages, where South Africa beat Ghana 2-0.
