Rosemary Boadu has spent the past few years battling end-stage kidney failure, enduring painful and expensive dialysis treatments while hoping for an opportunity to live a normal life.
Today, she is filled with hope, thanks to the intervention of businessman Ibrahim Mahama, whose generosity has given her the opportunity to undergo a life-saving kidney transplant.

“I cannot stop thanking you, Mr Ibrahim Mahama. I will always pray for him. God bless him for everything he has done. I never thought I would get out of this, but now I know I’ll recover. This is such a great blessing,” Rosemary Boadu said.
She further said, “This is the greatest blessing I’ve ever received. I never imagined a day like this. I know I’ll get better, and I’ll return to school stronger than before.”
Thanks to the CEO of Engineers & Planners and Dzata Cement, Ibrahim Mahama, the young girl will begin her pre-transplant workup on Thursday, November 22, 2024, with the $25,000 required for her surgery already covered by the businessman.
The support did not stop there - Rafik Mahama, the special aide to Ibrahim Mahama, visited the family to present an additional GHS20,000 to help with the family’s upkeep as they prepare for the upcoming procedure.
As Rafik Mahama handed over the financial support to the family, Grace Akweley, Rosemary’s mother, was overcome with emotion.

She dropped to her knees, expressing profound gratidtude for the life-changing assistance.
“Words cannot express how thankful I am to Mr Ibrahim Mahama. He has not just helped us; he has saved my daughter’s life. May God bless him and everyone who has supported us,” Grace Akweley intimated.
Rafik Mahama shared how swiftly Ibrahim Mahama responded upon hearing Rosemary’s story on JoyNews.
“The moment my boss heard about Rosemary’s condition, he was deeply moved. He immediately instructed us to take action,” Rafik recalled. “By 9 a.m., I was at the bank making the payment so that Rosemary could get the treatment she so urgently needed.”

Ibrahim Mahama’s philanthropic efforts, however, are not limited to publicised interventions. Rafik explained that many of their charitable actions happen quietly, with numerous individuals receiving medical assistance without media attention.
“We have helped many people access life-saving healthcare, and we do this across various sectors. Rosemary’s story touched my boss’s heart, and we are committed to seeing her through this process,” Rafik added. “We believe that, by God’s grace, everything will go smoothly, and Rosemary will recover fully,” he stated.

As Rosemary embarks on this new chapter of her life, she remains hopeful for a full recovery. Her mother, too, is filled with gratitude and renewed optimism.
The Boadu family’s journey, filled with trials and struggles, has been transformed by the compassion and generosity of Ibrahim Mahama.

As they prepare for the upcoming transplant, their hearts are filled with prayer and gratitude, knowing that their lives have been changed forever by one man’s willingness to help.
The Boadu family is now focused on the future, with faith that Rosemary will not only recover but will thrive in the years ahead.
