Founder and General Overseer of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) Pastor Mensa Otabil is urging strict adherence to the Covid-19 safety protocols.
According to the pastor, Covid-19 is a situation God is using to prepare many opportunities for the nation and Africa as a continent, therefore strict adherence to the protocols will keep people alive and enable them reap the benefits post-Covid.
“In the midst of all that is happening, I still have a deep sense that events happening in our world are strategically positioned to lift us up.
"At the beginning of this pandemic, I said that there was going to be a shift of power on the global scale and those of us who have been disadvantaged for years are going to have opportunity to thrive and to catch up with the rest of the world.
"And I believe that God is about to use this, and work it for His glory especially for us on this continent of Africa," he said.
In view of this, Pastor Otbil said there is a need to be alive to witness and reap these blessings.
He, however, maintained this will only be possible if people observe all the Covid-19 protocols including wearing of face mask, frequent washing of hands with soap under running water as well as observing social distancing, among others.
