The Central North Regional Police Command has apprehended three individuals in connection with an armed robbery incident at Ntow-Krom, near Sekyem.
The arrests took place on 25th June 2025, following an intelligence-led operation. According to police sources, the suspects, all young men, allegedly attacked a gold dealer at Sekyem.
They are said to have opened fire on the victim, physically assaulted him, and fled the scene on a motorbike.

In a prompt and coordinated response, officers from the Assin Foso Division and the Assin Foso District mounted a snap checkpoint at Assin Nyankumase, where the suspects were intercepted.
During the arrest, the trio reportedly attempted to discard the weapon used in the robbery by hurling it into a nearby bush.

However, a subsequent search of the area led to the recovery of a pump-action shotgun, a spent cartridge, and a machete. Another pump-action gun was also retrieved from the suspects.
The injured gold dealer was transported to hospital for medical treatment, though details of his condition remain undisclosed.
The suspects are currently in police custody, assisting with ongoing investigations, and are expected to be put before the court in due course.
