The grand finale of the maiden edition of the buzzing tertiary culinary competition, Big Chef Tertiary on Joy Prime, is finally here.
Three out of the six universities that began the show are left to prove their culinary skills and win the bragging rights for their school as the best technical university in terms of cooking.
The kitchen battle started with six schools, namely Accra Technical University, Takoradi Technical University, Koforidua Technical University, Kumasi Technical University, Ho Technical University, and Cape Coast Technical University.
Koforidua was the first to exit the hot kitchen, while in the last episode preceding the finals, Accra Technical University painfully bid goodbye to the contest as they failed to wow the judges.
Now, the three standing institutions; TTU, KuTU, and HTU are to prove their validation as the best in the kitchen.
Ho Technical University has been a winner four times; Kumasi Technical University has also emerged as a winner two times; and Takoradi Technical University has won once throughout the 12 episodes of the season.
KuTU is currently the reigning star school from the last episode. But are they capable of retaining the win to claim the grand prize?
Which school will emerge as the overall winner of the first season of Big Chef Tertiary and run off with the cash prize of ¢20,000, 10,000 ltrs Sintex Tank, and other amazing products from our sponsors?
The grand final which is slated for Sunday, October 1, 2023, will be held in the Volta Region, specifically Ho Technical University campus, at 4 p.m. sharp.
Voting is open to friends and loved ones, with 40% saying to vouch for their favourite institution via the short code *713*208# and following the prompt.
