Global Media Alliance, the organisers of Music Magic and Comedy (MMC) Live, which took place at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) started the show 30 minutes late, but it lived up to the hype when it rolled. Everything was on point from start to finish.

The show began at 8.30 pm with underground musicians and comedians setting the mood for the night.

At exactly 9: 30 pm, rapper Strongman Burner was on stage. The excitement from the crowd was enough to show they were more than ready for him.

However, it was not clear if they held him in awe or he was just not doing it for them but patrons were just glued to their seats as they watched him do his own thing.

He performed songs like Obituary, Transformer and Ups and Downs yet he did not seem to move the audience, well that is what it looked like till he dropped Don’t Try, a diss song directed at Medikal. The whole auditorium went gaga.

Almost everyone started rapping word for word but just when they were halfway through and enjoying the song, he ended his performance.

Right after Strongman, came comedian OB Amponsah. There as never a dull moment with him. He got everyone in stitches with his jokes.

Patrons doubled up with laughter when he cracked a joke about when he went selling Bibles with a friend who stammers.

According to OB, within 30 minutes, his friend had sold about 20 Bibles. When he asked his friend how he did it, his friend said he told customers it was either they buy the Bible or he reads it to them.

Another a joke about ladies not crying in public of late because of the fear of washing off their make up did it again for his audience.

Wendy Shay was the next act and she did her best with eight back up dancers.

She performed songs like Uber Driver, Shay On You,  All For You, Stevie Wonder, Astalavista, Bedroom Commando among others.

Nigerian comedian Acapella and Ghanaian magician Christopher Voncujovi gave patrons a good time when they took their turns.

The icing on the cake last Saturday night was when the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Artiste of the Decade, Sarkodie was announced and he did not disappoint during his time on stage. He did it again to prove he is a force to reckon with when it comes to rap music. Once he got on stage, he did not waste time feeding his audience to thrilling performances with songs such as Legend, Original, Can’t Let You Go, Pizza and Burger among others. He also performed some new tracks Odo, Bleeding, Greatness, Vintage which are from his new EP Alpha. Affairs of this year's edition of MMC Live was steered by comedian Foster Romanus who in between performances from the acts on the night cracked jokes which the audience enjoyed very much. With good music teamed with rib-cracking jokes, good sound, good lighting and beautiful stage design, there is no doubt patrons left the AICC at the end of the show getting their money's worth.
