CIMG Hall of Fame Petroleum Company, GOIL Company Limited, has been honoured by the Ghana Navy at its 60th anniversary celebrations in Accra.
GOIL was honoured with the top-rated ‘Platinum Sponsor’ award “in recognition of the continuous collaboration and support to the Ghana Navy”.
GOIL has over the last few years been a consistent supporter of the Ghana Navy, particularly in its mission to ensure a safe, secure and clean maritime domain of Ghana.
To enhance the partnership with the Navy, GOIL was a major partner in the building of the new Navy headquarters at the Burma Camp in Accra.
GOIL presently has a Marine Gas Oil storage Facility at the Sekondi Naval Base in Sekondi in the western region.
Welcoming the award, the Acting Managing Director and Group Chief Executive, Mr Kwame Osei Prempeh, congratulated the Navy for its immense role in protecting and defending the country’s maritime borders.
The theme for the anniversary was “60 years of Naval Excellence: Securing the Maritime Domain for National Development”.
