Milovan Rajevac shortlisted for Mauritania job

Former Black Stars head coach Milovan Rajevac has been included in a shortlist of four to coach the Mauritania national team, according to reports. According to our sources, the Executive Committee of the Football Federation of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania (FFRIM) met on Sunday, September 22 to decide on the four-man shortlist. Rajevac has been shortlisted along with Pierre Lechantre, who guided Cameroon to African Nations Cup glory in 2000, former French international midfielder Corentin Martins and Sebastien Lechantre. The FFRIM is looking for a new head coach after Patrice Neveu was fired following Mauritania’s failure to get past Uganda in the preliminary rounds of the 2015 African Nations Cup qualifiers. The FFRIM would name the successful applicant on September 29 2014. Rajevac is amongst 32 coaches to have applied for the vacant Black Stars job, even though the Ghana Football Association is yet to publicly announce a short list.
