The Coalition of Graduate Unemployed Allied Health Professionals (COAHP) says its members volunteering to do contact tracing, sample taking and testing for Covid-19 across the country have withdrawn their services.
The Coalition cites alleged neglect and unfair treatment that have been meted out to the 2017/2018 batch of Allied Health Professionals by the Ministry of Health as the reason for the decision.
"We will like to state equivocally that, this group of Allied Health Professionals has met all the requirements that qualify them to be recruited into the health services," the COAHP said in a press statement.
The statement signed by General Secretary, Vincent Arnponsah Gyamfi, said despite several engagements with the Ministry of Health, their quest to be recruited into the health service has been unsuccessful.
