Newly appointed Deputy Health Minister Bernard Okoe-Boye has expressed optimism about his new position despite the challenges the Covid-19 pandemic pose.
According to Dr. Okoe-Boye, “one of the tests of leadership is having turbulent times.”
He told Emefa Apawu on JoyNews’ ‘Beyond the Lockdown’ that these times “bring the best in you so that you write your name in history.”
He was on the show to respond to queries about government’s handling of the pandemic.
Speaking on the country’s testing capacity, the Deputy Minister asserted that Ghana is among the leading countries in Africa counting the most tests.
This, he said is something every Ghanaian should take pride in.
