National Chief Imam Sheik Usman Nuhu Sharubutu will for the first time hold a virtual Eid-ul-fitr due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The event which will take place at Ghana Broadcasting Corporation House on Sunday at 9:00 am will have President Akufo-Addo and his Vice, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as well as some Muslim leaders in attendance.
The virtual Eid-ul-fitr celebration has become necessary following the Covid-19 preventive restrictions on social gathering.
The Chief Imam is, therefore, advising all Muslims across the country to celebrate the day with their families at home by following him on the state broadcaster.
The President supported by his vice will use the occasion to address Muslims nationwide.
