President Nana Akufo-Addo was on Saturday, acclaimed by the NPP as the party’s presidential candidate for the upcoming general elections.
Addressing the party’s ranks at the closed ceremony, Akufo-Addo thanked the NPP for the confidence reposed in him to represent the party again.
He noted that this is only the second time in his political career he was running unopposed in an internal election, the other time being at the parliamentary level.
President Akufo-Addo also officially announced Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia as his running mate for the December polls.
